Expert Collaborators

Voice Everyday Racism engages with people from many backgrounds with real life racism experiences who have achieved success despite the challenges of their colour or race. Our collaborators are highly educated and work within public health, science, education institutions and community groups to educate on the history of colonialism and racism, and promote inclusion and ant-racism. .

Shaalee Stubbs

Shaalee Stubbs is a proud Darug/ Darkinjung woman who is a qualified Zoo Keeper by Trade. In recent years, Shaalee is working in Schools and Taronga Conservation Society as an Aboriginal Education Officer. As a faired-skin Aboriginal woman Shaalee has been faced with many kinds of racism.

Dr Eugene Bacon

Eugen Bacon, MA, MSc, PhD, is African Australian, a computer scientist mentally re-engineered into creative writing. She is a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a mentor, a reader, an editor, a writer. Her Black writing has won, been shortlisted, longlisted or commended in national and international awards.

Dr Mandy Truong

Dr Mandy Truong is a public health researcher with research interests primarily in racism and anti-racism, particularly as it relates to health inequities and health care provision. Currently, she is based at Monash University's Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

Associate Professor

Alana Lentin

Alana Lentin is an Associate Professor of Cultural and Social Analysis at Western Sydney University. She is a European Jewish woman who is a settler on Gadigal land (Sydney, Australia). She works on the critical theorization of race, racism and antiracism. Her latest book is Why Race Still Matters (Polity 2020) and she previously published The Crises of Multiculturalism: Racism in a neoliberal age with Gavan Titley (Zed, 2011). She co-edits the Rowman & Littlefield ‘Challenging Migration Studies’ books series and co-presents the Race in Society web series on YouTube with Dr Zuleyka Zevallos. She is an editorial board member of Ethnic and Racial Studies and Identities among other journals.
